THE DENTAL COUNCIL OF INDIA HAS RECOGNIZED THE INSTITUTE IN MAY – 1996
Our institute started PG Course in Dentistry ( M.D.S from 2003 – 04 with Two Specialties namely Orthodontics & ConservativeDentistry & Endodontics In the Year 2004 – 05 DCI granted permission to add two more specialties in out PG Centre Namely Prosthodontics & Periodontics The managing committee of A.M.E’s Dental College and Hospital has taken immense care to develop this institute on the principles of professional management right from its inception. Thus students qualifying from this institute are confidently facing the challenge of modern technology and complicated cases of dentistry in India and abroad.
Academy of Medical Education, Raichur is a registered society under Mysore Registration Act, it was established in 1966- 67 and a governing body consisting of patron, donors, life members, ordinary members, Patel Road Kirana and grains importing merchants association and Gunj merchants association.Governing council Members..
Under graduate BDS Proram:
The BDS is a 4-year course and 1 year internship offered by AMEDC.
The curriculum includes

- Performing various restorations on phantom head and also on patients.

Eligibility
Duration: 4 years plus 1 year compulsory rotatory internship.
Citizenship: Indian nationals.
Date of Birth: Only those whose date of birth falls on or before 31.12.98 are eligible.
Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually with a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology taken together
