Dermatology is the branch of medicine dealing with the hair, nails, skin and its diseases. It is a specialty with both medical and surgical aspects. A dermatologist treats diseases, in the widest sense, and some cosmetic problems of the skin, scalp, hair, and nails. Skin, it may appears as just another layer, but in fact, it’s the barricade that protects the fortress of health and beauty from many minor & major attacks – be it a surly weather, the scorching sunlight or any other environmental irritant.
The hospital gives special care for persons with skin, hair or nail problems. It also incorporates venereology (the branch of medicine for sexually transmitted diseases and AIDS).
