K.V.G Dental College was established and started functioning on October 2nd, 1991. The institution is sponsored by the Academy of Liberal Education (Regd.), Sullia D.K. From its humble beginnings, it has grown to its present stature under the able and dynamic leadership of the Founder President of A.O.L.E., Sri.Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda.

 K.V.G Dental College

The Dental College first started functioning with a student strength of 40. The clinical section of the Dental College started functioning in a wing of the K.V.G Hospital and Research Centre, Sullia, in January 1993. All the Departments of the College were shifted to a new Dental College Building in December 1993, which is located in the heart of the campus. This new building was inaugurated on 24th April 1994 by the then Chief Minister of Karnataka State, Sri. Veerappa Moily and the clinical wing was inaugurated by the President of Dental Council of India, Dr.R.K.BALI.

The BDS degree course of this institution was recognized by the Dental Council of India in January 1996 and following that nearly 40 students of the first batch graduated from the institution.

The admission capacity was increased from 40 to 60 students in the Academic year 1994-95 and it again increased to 100 students in the Academic year 1995-96.
