Introduction
- The College which is in the heart of the city, was started during 1984-85 under the aegis of the Seshadripuram Educational Trust. The Trust started the Institution with a cherished ambition to impart legal education which is a very important step towards spreading legal awareness and empowering the helpless in the society.
- The College is affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubli and recognized by Bar Council of India, New Delhi. It conducts three year LL.B. Course since 1984. From 2004-05 Five Year LL.B. law course has been started. The college has a Governing Council duly constituted by Seshadripuram Educational Trust.
- Sri K. Krishnaswamy, advocate has been the Chairperson of the Governing Council. All the members of the Governing Council are accomplished academicians, legal luminaries, management experts and persons of eminence in public service. Governing Council meets regularly four times a year to review academic and administrative work.
Course Offered
3 Year LL.B Course
- Course of Study | The teaching and instructions shall be in accordance with the Bar Council of India Rules. The candidates admitted to the course shall pursue the courses of study.
- Duration of the Course | duration of the course leading to the Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) shall be of three academic Year. Each academic year comprises of 2 semesters.Each Semester shall consist of 18 Weeks. The papers and the syllabus are given after admission.
5 Year B.A, LL.B. Course
- Duration of the Course | B.A. LL.B. integrated degree course, combines. The duration of the course leading to the Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) shall be of five academic Year. Each academic year comprises of two semesters.
- A student who successfully completes the five year LLB. Course shall be eligible for the award of the Degree B.A.LL.B.
- Each Semester shall consist of 18 Weeks. The papers and the syllabus are given after admission. The teaching and instructions shall be in accordance with the Bar Council of India Rules.
