Introduction

Started in the year 2003, under Sushrutha Group of Institutions which includes – Sushrutha Ayurveda Medical College. The college has a good infrastructure which includes the college buildings & hostel with all the facilities. The college and hospital is in its sixth year of functioning and has already made a name for its quality education and good hospital set up. Our college has hit the highest percentage of results in Bangalore both in 1st & 3rd Professional BAMS exams held at Feb/March 2021 by RGUHS.

The head of the institution is the principal, Dr B R Ramakrishna, who has a master’s degree both in Ayurveda and Yoga. He has a very long experience of teaching Ayurveda, and is an expert in Ayurvedic Pharmacology and Panchakarma. He has been conducting Ayurveda and yoga workshops in many European countries and is a widely acclaimed expert there. The vice principal and CEO of the college and the hospital looks into the smooth running and organizational issues.
The institute is associated with many specialty hospitals like the Jayanagar General Hospital, Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, CCRI&S Hospital, Padmashree Diagnostics & many more institutions, for the clinical exposure of the students.
The college has a close association with pharmaceutical companies like Vedic Bio Labs, Pradhan Herbals & cosmetics, which are, certified GMP companies manufacturing over 50 Ayurvedic products for local market & export. The students are exposed to the latest in the herbal drug manufacturing process in these companies.

Course Duration | 5 ½ Years (Study Period – 4 ½ Years + Compulsory Rotating Internship 1 Year)
Eligibility | 12th or puc with 50% & NEET 2024 Qualified.
Eligibility Criteria | To be eligible for admission into BAMS course, the candidate should have passed the qualifying examination PUC or 10+2 equivalent examination recognized by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, having secured not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in PCB taken together.
(40% in case of SC/ST) Merit for selection is decided by the entrance (KCET/ COMEDK) examination result where in a minimum of 50% marks are mandatory. However in respect of SC/ST candidates the minimum percentage of marks required is 40% instead of 50%.
Age Criteria | Candidate should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December of the year of admission. Candidates from outside Karnataka State must get eligibility certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. Candidates of minority status should have Tulu speaking certificate from appropriate authorities.

For Non-Karnataka & CBSE (10+2) Candidates | Candidates who has completed 10+12 from CBSE Board & Non Karnataka Students should secure Eligibility Certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore before admission process and students who have completed 10+12 other than in India should apply for Foreign Eligibility Certificate from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore before admission process. Similarly Non Karnataka student should obtain Migration Certificate from competent authorities of their respect state before seeking admission.
