Introduction

Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust for backward classes (Regd.), was established in the year 1986 by a group of philanthropic, dedicated and service minded people under the Chairmanship of Sri. R. L. Jalappa. Sri Devaraj Urs College of Nursing is a unit of Sri Devaraj Urs Educational Trust, which was entrenched in the year 1998, with a vision of providing standard education and training to the students.
The College of Nursing is approved by Government of Karnataka and recognized by KNC, INC, New Delhi and affiliated to RGUHS, Bangalore. The College is certified by ISO 9001-2015 and presently proceeding for NAAC accreditation.

GNM | General Nursing & Midwifery

Course duration | 3 years
Annual intake | 60 seats.
Eligibility Criteria
Age | Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.
10+2 passed preferably Science (PCB) & English with aggregate of 40% marks.
10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology, Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/English Elective or Health care Science – Vocational stream only, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board
Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health care Science – Vocational stream only conducted by National Institute of Open School.

Minimum of one year of experience after obtaining B.Sc Nursing, in a hospital or in Nursing educational institution or community health setting. For candidate possessing Post Basic B.sc Nursing, experience is not required Be a registered Nurse and midwife.
