Introduction 

• Alva’s Education Foundation under the leadership and guidance of visionary Dr. M. Mohan Alva, established Alva’s Ayurveda Medical College in the year 1996.
• The institution is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health sciences, Karnataka, Bangalore and approved by Central Council of Indian Medicine, New Delhi.
• Initially the strength of students was 60, which in successive years increased and today every year 100 students take admission to a 4 ½ years bachelor medicine and surgery (B.A.M.S) course..
• The college is also attached to “Alva’s Anandamaya Health Resort”, a 50 bedded treatment centre at Mijar which specializes in providing treatments to life style disorders by incorporating Ayurveda, Physiotherapy, Yoga & Naturopathy therapies by expert doctors.
