Major Changes in 2026 Exam PatternIf you are appearing for the test, keep in mind these important changes introduced for the 2026 session:- Fewer Questions: The total number of questions has been reduced from 200 down to 180 multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Total Marks: The total marks for the paper will be 720 marks (4 marks per correct answer, -1 mark for negative marking).
- Sectioned Timings: The exam duration is still 210 minutes, but it is now strictly split

NEET PG Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates need to ensure that they fulfill the NEET PG 2026 eligibility criteria before they fill in the application form for the same.
- Candidates are required to possess a recognized MBBS degree.
- Candidates must possess a provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by Medical Council of India or State Medical Council.
- Candidates must complete their compulsory one-year rotatory internship by the end of March 2023 according to the eligibility criteria of NEET PG 2026.
- Candidates completing their MBBS from the states of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Jammu and Kashmir will be eligible for admission to the 50% All India Quota seats only if they have been nominees of the Government of India for the Central Pool Quota seats.
- Candidates are required to possess an Aadhar card according to NEET PG 2026 eligibility criteria.
