Eligibility Criteria | 

  1. Qualifying marks: Candidates must score minimum 50% marks for general category and 40% for reserved category in the qualifying exam. NEET 2026 cutoff: Karnataka MBBS application form of only NEET 2026 qualified candidates will be accepted.
  2. To get admission into MBBS program in India, students have to complete their 10+2 education with Physics, Chemistry & Biology and score minimum 50% marks (40% in the case of reserved category). Student’s age should be between 17 years to 25 years.

  • 15% All India Quota (AIQ): Filled centrally via the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).
  • 85% State Quota & Private Management: Conducted locally by the [Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA)](0.5.7, 0.5.14). Out of the KEA counseling pool, seats are distributed as:

NMC NEW Rule For Deemed Medical Colleges 2026

  • The National Medical Commission (NMC) has replaced the Medical Council of India (BoG-MCI), as per information released by the Health Ministry on Friday. The government dissolved the MCI in 2026, replaced it with a BoG, which was chaired by Dr. VK Paul, member (health), NITI Aayog.
